  • November 1st - The dutch (pressed) magazine @Net featured a short article on WWCN. You can find a transcript online.
October
  • October 30st - Planet Internet's online magazine "Shift" again mentioned WWCN as candidate for the next generation Internet protocols. Read all about it in their article.
  • October 3rd - wwcn.student.utwente.nl upgraded from a 486 dx2/50 with 8Mb to a Pentium 90 with 16Mb. The machine consists of hardware donated by Gerrit Hiddink and Koen de Jonge, and is going to belong to WWCN Network Administration Ltd.

  • September 28th - New website development started, due on november 1st.
  • September 19th - www.wwcn.org online.
  • September 17th - wwcn.org has been kindly registered by xs4all (with thanks to JohnPC).
  • September 6th - Web server statistics online by Mark Visser.

  • August 27 - Gerrit Hiddink starts coding a Unix client based on the ncurses library. It will be an ircII lookalike.
Juli
  • July 11th - Koen de Jonge, Auke van Slooten, Bart, Lukas van Schagen, Gerrit Hiddink and Florian Overkamp are using a warm fridaynight to work on the WWCN website. Koen did a total redesign of the site.
May
  • May 4th - Mark Visser will debug the website. Thanks to him, there are now also mailinglist archives.
April
  • April 27th - Eric Schol has designed a WWCN logo.
  • April 13th - You can now register a channel online, on this website.
  • April 7th - John Marshall will write a WWCN client for Microsoft Windows.
  • April 5th - WWCN will be officially opened at the hacker's festival HIP '97 more information
