Kri MUD
  What is KriMUD?

Imagine a world where evil spirits conquered your fatherland and merely hundered people of your kin managed to escape on sailing ships. Traveling in a direction given by wise men to an unknown island in the wide ocean. Traveling for weeks in uncertainty to finally reach a land they don't know.

In this setting those people settled down in a place near a river they would later call 'Kri Town'. In that town they started to grow strong and learned to fight back. They had to be strong, due to the raids of homelanders to the intrusion in their homeland. Once they were strong enough to resist those raids they started to explore the land and found out that there were people with magic power on this land.

Here the players of Kri MUD fit in, as they are the population of Kri Town and they should grow strong and learn to fight as the best. This can be in three main-classes: fighter, mage or rogue. Sub-classes are available on these main-classes so a player can pick a class for his/her character that suits him/her best.

Every class has its own specific primary skills, which determine the level of the player. Next to these primary skills a player can learn any skill they want, however it is possible that some skills are not learned as quickly and as good as a primary skill.

Guilds will be implemented as professions to make you money if you don't want to slay monsters. In a later stage clans will be implemented as kinds of brotherhoods. Both are not implemeted yet.

Kri MUD is based on the Nightmare IV mudlib as created by Descartes of Borg, although it is heavily modified to make it maintainable and playable as the Kri MUD crew wants it to. Kri MUD has a medieval fantasy theme.

KriMUD Status

Kri MUD is still in development phase as we need to implement the skill system as we designed it. Combat has already been tweaked and is working properly. There are already some areas available to go into beta phase once we get the skill coding done.

We can always need some experienced coders to get Kri MUD going into beta phase. But we can also use some dedicated newbie coders to finish up some areas. Have a look around on Kri MUD: ENTER HERE

KriMUD Links

We have a little documentation on creating on a Nightmare IV mudlib. Most documentation is a mirror from all Nightmare Iv documentation that has been available on the www.imaginary.com website. A gateway to Kri MUD to see who is online is available too.

Expect a map of Kri Town and of the world of Serenceress soon.
